A MAN has died after his car collided with two others near the scene of a crash on the Bruce Highway, in Queensland’s north.
Emergency services were already on the scene of a crash two kilometres south of Proserpine when the three cars came to grief just 200 metres down the road.
The driver of one of the three vehicles, an 80-year-old man, was airlifted to Townsville Hospital in a critical condition.

Sadly, police released a statement overnight, confirming the man died in hospital yesterday afternoon.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
