One dead, another critical after horror helicopter crash at Hobart Airport
ONE man is dead and another is in a critical condition after a helicopter crash at Hobart International Airport.
Emergency crews rushed to the airport around 5.20pm on Tuesday after receiving reports a helicopter had come down and crashed on the grass verge on the edge of the runway.
A 57-year-old man died at the scene, whilst a 33-year-old man was taken to the Royal Hobart where he is reportedly in a serious but stable condition.
Hobart Airport was temporarily closed whilst the investigation took place and the helicopter was transported to a secure facility for further examination.
