One dead, another fighting for life after horror stabbing south of Brisbane
One man is dead and another is fighting for life after a stabbing south-east of Brisbane on Tuesday night.
Police were called to the Brompton Street home in Alexandra Hills around 11.50pm with reports of a two men had been stabbed.
A man in his 30’s was found dead at the scene while a second man had critical injuries.
The man, also aged in his 30’s, was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
It’s believed neighbours called police after noticing children walking around the street covered in blood.
Police have since confirmed children were at the home at the time and the dead man is the partner of the wounded man’s ex-wife.
“The person that’s died was in a new relationship with a 37-year-old female that lived at this address,” Inspector Rob Graham told the Nine Network.
“It will be alleged that the accused killer is the former husband of the female from this address.”
Detectives have declared a crime scene at the property and have commenced forensic examinations as they try to figure out just what happened.
