One dead, another injured after NSW stabbing

One man is dead and a second is under Police guard in hospital after a stabbing and crash on the New South Wales mid-north coast.

Police were called to Pipers Creek Road at Dondingalong near Kempsey at around 9.15pm on Friday night after reports of a stabbing.

A 54-year-old man was found dead at the scene.


About 20 minutes later, Police were called to a crash a short distance away on Pipers Creek Road.

The driver, believed to be in his 40s, was pulled from the vehicle and taken to hospital under Police guard.

He is suffering non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives are looking into the circumstances surrounding both incidents with crime scenes set up.

No charges have been laid.
