One dead, another injured in outback crash

A MAN has been killed and another has been injured in a horror single vehicle crash in outback NSW.

Police said the pair was travelling in a Toyota Prado which left Menindee Road and rolled around 20km east of Broken Hill on Friday afternoon.

Sadly, the driver, a 57-year-old man, could not be saved and died at the scene.

His passenger, a 63-year-old man, was taken to Broken Hill Base Hospital with serious injuries.

He has since been airlifted to Adelaide Hospital for further treatment.

The crash site was declared a crime scene and examined by police from the Barrier Police District.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the collision are continuing.
