Police appeal for dashcam vision after man killed in horror crash at Eight Mile Plains

A young man is dead and an elderly woman is in a serious condition following a horror crash at Eight Mile Plains.

The fatal accident happened on Logan Road around 9.40am on Tuesday.

“Initial investigations indicate a Honda Civic travelling north in the southbound lanes of Logan Road collided with a Hyundai sedan travelling north on Logan Road as it attempted to turn right near Levington Road onto the Gateway Motorway,” Qld Police said in a statement.

“The impact caused the Hyundai to then hit a dual-cab utility.”

The driver of the Hyundai, a 22-year-old man, died at the scene.

The 72-year-old female driver of the Honda was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.

The occupants of the ute were treated at the scene by paramedics.

The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing to investigate.

They’re appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who may have dashcam footage of Underwood Road through to Levington Road prior to the crash to come forward.
