One dead, another trapped in separate crashes on NSW central coast

A man has died on the Central Coast of New South Wales, after his Mitsubishi ute burst into flames.

Fire & Rescue NSW officers extinguished the fire on the Central Coast Highway and found a body in the vehicle.

A crime scene has been set up.


A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Motorists are advised to take care while crews clear debris from the roadway.

In a separate accident about 50m away from the first, a truck driver has been trapped after crashing into another garbage truck on the Central Coast of New South Wales on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the Central Coast Highway at 2.20pm.

One of the truck drivers was trapped inside his vehicle before being freed and taken to Gosford Hospital with leg and pelvic injuries.

The other driver wasn’t badly injured.
