One dead, four injured in horror NSW smash
One man is dead and four other people have been injured in a horror crash near Lismore.
A Nissan Cube collided with a Toyota Corolla on Kyogle Rd at Fernside around 5.25pm on Friday.
The Cube then collided with another vehicle.
A 48-year-old man who was behind the wheel of the Cube died at the scene while a 12-year-old boy was taken to Lismore Hospital with a number of injuries. He has since been transferred to the Lady Cilento Hospital in Brisbane.
A 27-year-old man who was also in the car is suffering from severe shock.
The female driver of the Corolla needed treatment for cuts and abrasions while a woman in the third car was taken to Lismore Hospital with fractures.
Eleven people have now died on New South Wales roads since Police launched Operation Safe Arrival last Friday.
