One dead, four injured in Lockyer Valley crash
A woman has been killed and four others injured – three of whom have been airlifted to hospital – following a horror two car crash in the Lockyer Valley.
The accident happened along Old Laidley-Forest Hill Road in Forest Hill just after midday.
Police said a car travelling east collided with an oncoming car near Forest Hill-Fernvale Road.
A woman aged in her 40s died at the scene.
It’s believed she was a passenger in the eastbound vehicle.
The driver was taken by ambulance to Ipswich Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver and three passengers of the westbound vehicle were all airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the collision.
