POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal accident which killed a man in the NSW Riverina.
The accident happened on Yapunyah Street at Barellan, around 50km east of Griffith on Saturday morning.
It’s understood a passerby raised the alarm after coming across the shocking scene just after 6.30am.

Police said a Toyota Hilux had veered off the road and ploughed through a line of trees.
Sadly, the 53-year-old man behind the wheel of the Hilux could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe the man was killed on impact. He was the only person travelling in the vehicle at the time.
Officers from Griffith Local Area Command established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
