One dead in crash on Brisbane motorway

A person has reportedly been killed in a crash on the Gateway Motorway in Brisbane’s north.

It’s understood the accident happened in the southbound lanes of the motorway at Bald Hills, near the Bruce Highway exit, at around 12pm AEST.

There are reports a motorcyclist has died at the scene.

It remains unclear whether anyone else has been injured.

The accident has brought southbound traffic to a standstill, with delays stretching as far back as North Lakes.

Traffic diversions are in place, but police are urging motorists to seek alternate routes.
