One dead, one fighting for life in Sydney shooting

One man has been killed and another is fighting for life after a gunman opened fire in Sydney this morning.

New South Wales Police have confirmed that they responded to a public place shooting in the city’s southwest around 9.00 am.

Officers were called to Osgood Street near Woodville Road, where they located a car with two men inside.

One of them was pronounced dead at the scene but is yet to be formally identified.

The other is being treated by paramedics but is reported to be in a critical condition.

Police have set up a crime scene and investigations are underway.
