One dead, two injured in single-vehicle crash

A MAN has been killed and two of his mates injured in a shocking single vehicle crash in country NSW.

It happened on Yarrie Lake Road at Wee Waa, roughly 41km northwest of Narrabri, in the state’s north just before 1am on Sunday.

The 27-year-old man who had been driving the vehicle sustained life-threatening injuries and was unresponsive when emergency services arrived.

Paramedics performed CPR on the driver in a desperate attempt to revive him but sadly he could not be saved and died at the scene.

Two other men who had been travelling in the car escaped the collision with only minor physical injuries.

The pair, aged 25 and 37, were treated by paramedics at the scene.

A crime scene was established and examined by the Crash Investigation Unit.

Officers from the Oxley Police District are also investigating the crash and will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
