ONE person has died and two other people have been injured in a three-car crash in the NSW Hunter region overnight.
About 11.50pm, emergency services were called to the New England Highway at Aberdeen, following reports of a multi-vehicle crash.
The driver of a Toyota Camry, a man believed to be aged in his 20s, died at the scene.

The passenger, a woman, suffered minor injuries and was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of a Toyota Prado suffered serious injuries to his legs and was taken to John Hunter Hospital.
Two dogs were also inside the Prado, with one suffering injuries to its leg. It was taken to a nearby veterinary clinic.
The occupants of the third vehicle, a Mazda hatchback, escaped unharmed.
A crime scene has been established with investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash underway.
