A WOMAN has been killed and two other people injured after the car they were in left the road and smashed into a tree in southern Queensland.
It happened on the New England Highway At Glen Alpin, south of Stanthorpe, around 2.30pm on Saturday.
Police said a vehicle travelling north crossed onto the wrong side of the highway before leaving the road and flipping into a tree.

A woman aged in her 40s died at the scene. Police said she was the driver of the vehicle.
Two other female passengers were seriously injured and taken to Stanthorpe Hospital for treatment. Their ages are not known.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
