Man injured in horror tractor accident in hinterland

LATEST @ 5.30 PM | A man has miraculously escaped serious injury after a horror tractor accident in the Gold Coast hinterland.

Critical care paramedics and the High Acuity Response Unit were called to Beechmont Road in Witheren, near Canungra, just after 3.45pm this afternoon.

Upon arrival, they found a man suffering neck pain and chest injuries after a tractor rolled 20 metres down a steep embankment.

The man, aged in his 20s, was treated at the scene before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed he was transported in a stable condition.

EARLIER @ 4.30 PM | Emergency crews are currently on the scene of a serious tractor accident in the Gold Coast hinterland.

Critical care paramedics and the High Acuity Response Unit were called to Beechmont Road in Witheren, near Canungra, just after 3.45pm this afternoon.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said it’s understood a tractor rolled approximately 20 metres down a steep embankment.

One person, a man, is currently being assessed on scene by paramedics for chest injuries and shoulder pain.

Thankfully he’s believed to be in a stable condition.
