One of four men arrested by the NSW Joint Counter Terrorism Team over an alleged plot to bring down a plane, has been released.
Australian Federal Police issued a statement on Wednesday morning confirming the 50-year-old had been released following three days of questioning.
“Four men were arrested by the NSW Joint Counter Terrorism Team on Saturday, 29 July, regarding an investigation into allegations that some people were intending to commit a terrorist attack using an improvised device,” the statement reads.

“One of those men – who is 50 years old – was released from police custody last night (Tuesday, 1 August) without being charged with a criminal offence.”
The three other men remain in police custody, with investigations ongoing.
