One man dead, another airlifted to hospital after horror mini-bike crash

A YOUNG man has been killed and another has been seriously injured in a horror crash between two mini motorbikes in Victoria.

The fatal collision occurred at Stradbroke, in the state’s Gippsland region shortly after midnight.

Police said the two men were riding the mini bikes down an unnamed road near Baldwins Lane when they collided head-on around 12.30am on Saturday.

Sadly, one of the riders, a 24-year-old man, suffered life-threatening injuries and could not be saved.

He was pronounced dead at the scene before he could be transported to hospital.

The second rider, a 22-year-old man, was airlifted to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
