One Nation Senator accused of attempting to pervert the course of justice

One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson is asking senator Rod Culleton to explain a letter he wrote to a Queensland Magistrate.
The letter, which was directed to a Cairns magistrate, has been referred to Queensland police by state attorney-general Yvette D’Ath.
In the letter Senator Culleton asks for his case to be adjourned, saying he’s watching the conduct of all judicial officers with interest, and refers to a complaint from a person he claims is facing jail over a bankruptcy matter.
Ms D’ath and chief magistrate Ray Rinaudo, have expressed concerns the letter is of a threatening manner and could amount to an attempt to pervert the course of justice.
Senator Hanson says she hopes to speak to Senator Culleton today.

One Nation Senator Rod Culleton has been referred to Queensland Police over accusations that he tried to pervert the course of justice, and threatened a magistrate.
Attorney General Yvette D’Ath said the allegations involved a letter the Senator wrote to a magistrate in Cairns.
The Chief Magistrate of Queensland complained that the contents of the letter could amount to a threat and an attempt to pervert the course of justice.
Ms D’Ath has referred the matter to the Queensland Police Commissioner.
