One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson has been rocked by Fraser Anning’s decision to defect from the party, just minutes before being sworn in as a senator.
Senator Anning was supported by crossbench senators Cory Bernardi and David Leyonhjelm, rather than Senator Hanson and other members of her party.
He was selected to replace One Nation’s Malcolm Roberts, who was ruled ineligible to sit in Federal Parliament due to his dual citizenship.

The One Nation Leader released a statement this morning announcing Senator Anning has abandoned the Party to stand as an independent “until something else comes along”.
