One person airlifted to hospital after Sydney truck crash

ONE person has been airlifted to hospital following a crash between a truck and a car in Sydney’s west.

The accident happened along The Northern Road in Cranebrook, around 65 kilometres west of the city’s CBD, shortly before eight o’clock on Thursday morning.

Emergency services arrived to find a truck had collided with a white SUV near the intersection with Fifth Avenue.


A person who was believed to have been a passenger in the SUV sustained serious injuries.

The MyCareFlight rescue helicopter was dispatched to airlift the injured occupant to hospital.

It is not known how many other people, if any, were injured.
