One person grabs $50 million Powerball jackpot

A Western Australian player has secured the $50 million Powerball jackpot all to themselves.

Lotterywest confirmed that the sole Division 1 winning ticket in Thursday night’s draw was sold in WA, making it the largest ever win in the state.

The magic numbers were: 3, 9, 27, 32, 25, 21 and the Powerball 18.

Previously, the highest prize for a Division win was $30 million, which has been won four times, most recently in May.

Lotterywest has not provided the exact location of where the winning ticket was sold in a bid to protect the winner.

In another big win for the state, two players in WA also won a share of the Division 2 prize, worth almost $75,000.
