One person trapped after cars collide on Gold Coast

Crews are currently working to free one person who is trapped in a car following a crash on the Gold Coast this afternoon.

Three cars are understood to have collided on Ashmore Road in Benowa just before 1.45pm on Wednesday.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed to myGC the “encapsulated” motorist, a female, hasn’t suffered any serious injuries and is in a stable condition.

Three other people are also being assessed at the scene by paramedics, however they are also in a stable condition with no obvious injuries.

Multiple Queensland Ambulance units are on scene, including critical care paramedics and fire crews.
