Gold Coast burns victim rushed to Brisbane hospital
UPDATE at 4:00 PM | ONE person has been rushed to a hospital in Brisbane with horrific burns after a hot water system exploded at a house on the Gold Coast.
It happened at a home in Runaway Bay just before 3pm on Saturday.
The patient, whose age and gender remains unknown, suffered significant burns was treated by critical care paramedics and the city’s High Acuity Response Unit at the home.
They have since been rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

FIRST at 3:20 PM | A PERSON has suffered horrific burns after a hot water system exploded at a house on the Gold Coast.
Emergency services were called to the Runaway Bay home just before 3pm.
Queensland Ambulance said on Twitter one person suffered “significant burns” in the incident.
The patient is being treated by a team of medical professionals, including Critical Care paramedics and the city’s High Acuity Response Unit, at the home.
Their age, gender and condition was not immediately known.
