The teams have arrived, the excitement is building and the countdown to the XCAT Gold Coast Grand Prix is well and truly underway!
For the first time ever, XCAT racing is taking place right here on the Gold Coast….and there is only 2 days left to wait until the big race takes place right here in our Broadwater!
Starting today, Friday 21 August 2015, the first official practice will kick off with 14 teams from around the world battling it out for the number 1 spot in the XCAT Powerboating World Series in Australia this weekend.

Doug Jennings Park at The Spit has been transformed into XCAT Central, featuring an Entertainment Quarter, Food Bazaar, Kids Zone and Pit Alley making it an adrenaline-filled weekend for the whole family.
Don’t miss the high-intensity shoot outs on Saturday 22nd, with all 14 powerboats fighting for pole position in the Grand Prix which takes place on Sunday!
It will be an action-packed race not to be missed, with our very own Gold Coast team hoping to secure a win on their home turf.
