Optus customers have taken to social media to vent their frustration at not being able to use their mobile and internet services.
The Telco confirmed on Twitter a short time ago that they were experiencing issues with their network and were working to fix them as soon as possible.
“Optus is aware of an outage that may be impacting Optus services,” the company wrote.

“We are aiming to restore these services as a priority.
“We thank customers for their patience and will provide an update as soon as possible.”
The outage could not have come at a more inconvenient time, with thousands of people working from home due to state lockdowns.
“Look with a lot of people working from home at a time like this I can definitely understand the frustration as this is people’s time and money,” one person wrote.
“I’m an essential worker and my phone is the only way my managers can contact me. Cheers for that,” commented another.
