ORIGIN EVE: Will Cooper Cronk run on for Queensland?

With just one sleep until the ultimate rugby league rivalry is played out, the Queensland camp is yet to confirm if star Cooper Cronk will take to the field against New South Wales in the State of Origin series opener.

The play maker injured his ankle at training on Friday and is yet to be confirmed as a certain starter for the match at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium.

Rookie Maroons coach Kevin Walters has confirmed, Cronk will be given until game day to prove his fitness.

He was seen at Tuesday’s Captain Run, his first time at training since suffering the injury at the Maroon’s Sanctuary Cove camp.

Michael Morgan is on standby to slot into the halves for Cronk.
