10:30PM: THE Oscar Pistorius trial has been adjourned until Friday where a verdict on culpable homicide is expected.
Before adjourning after returning from a one hour lunch break, Judge Masipa said Pistorius’ conduct was negligent and that he used “excessive force” and acted “too hastily” when firing into the bathroom in which his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp occupied.
Earlier, Judge Masipa cleared the “Blade Runner” of both premeditated & second-degree murder.

8:48PM: OSCAR Pistorius will avoid life behind bars after he was found not guilty of murdering Reeva Steenkamp.
Judge Thokozile Masipa said the state had not proven beyond reasonable doubt that Pistorius was guilty, and he was cleared of both the premeditated & second-degree murder of Reeva Steenkamp.
A verdict on culpable homicide (manslaughter) will be delivered soon which the judge said was a “competent verdict” before breaking for lunch.
If found guilty on the lesser charge of culpable homicide, Pistorius may walk free without serving a single day behind bars as the charge has no set minimum jail term.
EARLIER, Moyra Major reported the parents of Reeva Steenkamp had arrived in a South African court ahead of the verdict in ‘Blade Runner’ Oscar Pistorius’ murder trial.
The paralympian was expected to immediately appeal – if he was found guilty of murdering his girlfriend.
