Oscar winning actor Kevin Spacey charged with sexual assault in the US

Actor Kevin Spacey has been charged with the sexual assault of a teenager in the US.

The incident is alleged to have occurred at a bar in Boston in July 2016, with the Oscar winner accused of plying the the 18-year-old with alcohol.

The alleged victim is the son of former news anchor Heather Unruh who first raised the allegations a year ago.

She claimed Spacey bought her son ‘drink after drink’ before putting his hand down her son’s pants.

Spacey is due to be arraigned on a charge of indecent assault and battery on January 7.

As news of the charges emerged, Spacey posted a bizarre video online where he appears to be playing the character of Frank Underwood from House of Cards.

His character was killed off after allegations of inappropriate behaviour first started surfacing last year.

In the clip Spacey says: “I told you my deepest, darkest secrets. I showed you exactly what people are capable of. I shocked you with my honesty, but mostly I challenged you and made
you think.”

“And you trusted me, even though you knew you shouldn’t. So we’re not done, no matter what anyone says. And besides, I know what you want – you want me back.”

The 59-year-old has previously been the subject of claims he made sexual advances towards a 14-year-old boy he starred with in a Broadway production in 1986.

He’s also under investigation by Police in the UK over alleged incidents in London.
