TWO tiny toddlers – brothers aged just two and 16 months – have tragically died in hospital a week after being pulled unconscious from a backyard swimming pool in Brisbane’s north.
The boys’ bodies were found at the bottom of the family’s backyard pool in Morayfield last Monday, March 25.
They were treated by critical care paramedics at the Michael Ave home before being rushed by ambulance to the Queensland Children’s Hospital where they spent a week in the paediatric intensive care unit.

Sadly, in a statement this morning, the boys’ parents confirmed their sons had passed away on the weekend.
“It is with great sadness that we advise that our boys are no longer with us,” the statement said.
“Our family is incredibly grateful for the support and care provided by staff of the Queensland Children’s Hospital.
“We ask the media to please respect our family’s privacy at this sad time.”
Aerial footage taken by 7NEWS at the time of the incident last Monday showed the pool in the backyard of the family’s home completely surrounded by a high metal fence.
