A YOUNG man is fighting for life in hospital following a horror crash in Melbourne.
The 19-year-old P-plater allegedly lost control of a Mitsubishi Triton ute and flipped it on the Hume Freeway at Thomastown, in the city’s north on Friday night.
Victoria Police said the vehicle rolled a number of times before coming to rest about 8.20pm.

The 19-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle and sustained life-threatening injuries.
It’s understood the young man from Wandong was ejected through the passenger window.
He was rushed to hospital for treatment where he remained on Sunday morning, fighting for life.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
