P-plater escapes serious injury in Nerang crash
A P-plater has had a lucky escape after losing control of his Holden Commodore ute in the wet weather at Nerang.
The accident happened along Alexander Drive shortly after 6pm when the young male driver lost control at high-speed.
Witnesses tell myGC the Commodore spun out of control before mounting the centre median strip where it took out a tree before coming to rest on the opposite side of the road near Highland Park Tavern.
Despite being a little shaken up, the driver escaped relatively unscathed.
Fortunately, no pedestrians or other vehicles were struck.
