P-plater’s car impounded after being busted driving 101km in school zone

A young man has had his luxury car impounded after he was busted allegedly doing 101km in a 40km school zone.

Around 3.00pm on Wednesday, officers nabbed the 22-year-old speeding through the school zone at Point Cook in Victoria.

A search of the man’s licence allegedly revealed that he was a p-plater driving on a suspended P2 licence.

As well as being summonsed for speed dangerous, exceed speed limit, failing to display P plates and driving with a suspended P2 licence, the young man’s Audi TT was also impounded for one month at a cost of $917.

The man is due to face Werribee Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
