TWO men accused of kidnapping a young boy from outside his Mudgeeraba home are due back in court today.
Police allege Zhen Jie Zhang, 53, and his son Yu Sunny Zhang, 21, snatched the 12-year-old schoolboy off the street as he walked home from school on Friday May 11.
The abduction sparked a major cross border-search involving an Amber Alert, with the youngster found in the back of a car in the northern NSW town of Grafton around 12.00pm the following day.

Yu Sunny Zhang is facing charges including one count each of torture, deprivation of liberty and assault occasioning bodily harm in company, while Zhen Jie Zhang has been charged with two counts of extortion, kidnapping for ransom, torture, deprivation of liberty and assault occasioning bodily harm.
The younger Zhang was granted bail in June, while his father was remanded in custody.
The pair are both expected to return to court today.
