Pair charged after drugs and cash found in 2 Ashmore homes

A MAN and a woman have been charged after police found drugs and cash at two Ashmore homes yesterday.

Officers from the Gold Coast Major and Organised Crime Squad raided the homes which were next door to each other after receiving information from members of the public.

The searches resulted in the alleged seizure of amphetamines, cannabis, drug utensils and cash.


A 65-year-old Gold Coast woman has been issued with a notice to appear for offences of possessing dangerous drugs, possessing things used in the commission of a crime and possessing property suspected of being proceeds of crime.

A 31-year-old Ashmore man has been issued a notice to appear for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug utensils.

The pair are expected to appear before the Southport Magistrates Court on February 4, 2015.
