Pair on the run after ramming Gold Coast business for cigarettes

Investigations are underway on the Gold Coast this morning, after an early morning ram raid.

Police were called to a business along Christine Avenue in Burleigh Waters around 3.00 am, following reports of a break and enter.

It’s understood two men rammed a ute nose-first into the front of the store, before getting out of the vehicle and going inside the business.

They attempted to break into the cigarette cabinet but were ultimately unsuccessful.

They left the premises empty-handed, getting away in the same ute.

Officers later found the vehicle along Nundah Avenue in Miami, before determining it had been stolen from a Robina home on May 27.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
