Pair still missing from NSW correctional centre

Police are appealing for the community not to approach two men who escaped from a correctional centre in western New South Wales.

Geoffrey Fieldsend, 30; and Richard Reginald Pretty, 29, were last seen at the minimum-security correctional centre on Mitchell Street, Ivanhoe, about 6pm on Saturday night.

Their absence was noticed straight away and a search was launched.

It is believed the pair may be travelling in a stolen vehicle described as a Triton twin-cab, two-tone utility, with NSW registration plates “AQ46QL”. The vehicle has a black-coloured upper-half; and a silver-coloured lower-half.

The vehicle was last sighted on Trida Road, Ivanhoe. The pair may be heading towards the Cobar area.

Police have warned those who spot the pair, not to approach them, instead to call Triple Zero immediately.

Geoffrey Fieldsend is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, with a slim build, short blond hair and was last seen wearing prison greens.

Richard Pretty is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, of medium build, with short light-coloured hair, a short beard, and was also last seen wearing prison greens.
