Palm Beach student suffers fractured skull at school
A teenage boy has had surgery after a school yard incident left him with a fractured skull.
The Child Protection Investigation Unit is looking into what happened just before 1pm on Wednesday, at a Palm Beach high school.
It’s believed the 15-year-old boy was put in a head lock and lost consciousness, before hitting his head on the ground.
The boy sustained a fractured skull and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
He has since had surgery and is now recovering in a stable condition.
Police were told about the incident this morning and have commenced an investigation.
