Gold Coast bus crash leaves four in hospital

UPDATE @ 4.30PM | Four people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a bus and two cars at Arundel.

The bus crashed into the back of a car in the westbound lanes of Brisbane Rd just before 3.30pm.

The impact forced the car to smash into the rear of another car in front.


Paramedics, including Critical Care and High Acuity Response teams assessed 15 people at the scene.

11 of those did not need any further treatment.

Two females in their 30s, a man in his 30s and a man in his 70s were also transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

It’s understood their injuries are minor.

The accident has now been cleared.

EARLIER @ 4.00PM | At least 15 people are being assessed by paramedics after a crash involving a bus at Arundel.

The bus collided with two cars on Brisbane Rd just before 3.30pm.

Five Queensland Ambulance Service crews are currently on scene.

It’s unclear at this stage what injuries have been suffered.

The crash has caused extensive delays on Brisbane Rd.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
