Surfer found floating face down in water at Currumbin
UPDATE @ 11.30am: A surfer is being praised for saving the life of a fellow surfer who was found floating face down in the water at Currumbin this morning.
Just before 10.00am, emergency services were called to Currumbin Alley following reports of a near drowning.
Paramedics say a 58-year-old man was discovered unconscious in the ocean and pulled to shore by another surfer who attempted CPR.
Whilst on the beach, off-duty paramedics took over until Queensland Ambulance paramedics arrived on scene and treated the man.
The man was revived at the scene before being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
Queensland Ambulance confirmed he was transported in a stable condition.

EARLIER @10.25am: Emergency services have been called to a near drowning at Currumbin Beach.
A man was pulled from the water at Pacific Parade and Duringan Street just before 10.00am.
Paramedics and lifeguards are currently working on the man, whose age is not known, at the scene.
