UPDATE @ 10.45 AM | A woman has been taken to hospital for observation, after a post immersion incident in Coolangatta.
Emergency services were called to the beach in Coolangatta around 9.30 am, following reports the woman was pulled from the water.
She was assessed at the scene, but reported to be stable, conscious and breathing.

She’s been taken to Tweed Hospital for observation.
Queensland Ambulance Service did not confirm her age.
EARLIER@ 9.30 AM | Emergency services have rushed to the southern Gold Coast this morning, following reports of a near-drowning.
A person was pulled from the surf off Marine Parade around 9.30 am.
Paramedics are on scene assessing the person. Their current condition is not yet known.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson has confirmed with myGC that the patient is a woman, and is stable, conscious and breathing.
She will likely be transported to hospital for further treatment.
