Paramedics rush to Pimpama after child hit by car

UPDATE @ 5.00 PM | A young boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Pimpama this afternoon.

The accident happened at the corner of Swan Road and Yawalpah Road just after 3.30pm.

The child was treated at the scene by a critical care paramedic for cuts and a leg injury.

He has since been taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

EARLIER @ 3.50 PM | A young boy has been hit by a car in the northern Gold Coast suburb of Pimpama.

The accident happened at the intersection of Swan Road and Yawalpah Road just after 3.30pm.

Multiple emergency crews, including a critical care paramedic, are currently on scene treating the child.

He’s understood to be in a stable condition with cuts and a leg injury.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area, with Yawalpah Road closed between Gawthern Drive and the Pacific Motorway.
