Parts of South East Qld rattled by small earthquake

A mini earthquake struck South East Queensland on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Geoscience Australia, the 2.9 magnitude quake struck Brendale, north of Brisbane, around 1.30pm.

Thankfully it didn’t appear to cause any damage or injuries, but residents as far as Caboolture and Brisbane have reported feeling the tremor, which had a depth of 10 kilometres.

So far, Geoscience Australia has received more than 550 “felt” reports.
