Passenger killed after car hits tree in NSW

A MAN has been killed after the car he was in crashed into a tree in Sydney’s south-west overnight.

The accident happened on Bringelly Road at Rossmore around 10.30pm.

It’s understood the vehicle slammed side-on into the tree after the driver lost control.

Sadly, a male passenger suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His age was not immediately known.

The male driver escaped serious injury and was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing.

Police have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Bringelly Road was closed overnight while the scene was examined by the Forensic Crash Unit.
