Passenger train derails after colliding with truck in Victoria
A passenger train has derailed after colliding with a truck at a level crossing south-west of Melbourne.
It’s understood the V/Line train struck a truck at the Phalps Road crossing in Pirron Yallock, near Colac, shortly before 4pm.
As a result of the collision, the train has derailed with photos uploaded to social media showing several carriages off the tracks.
More than 20 passengers were said to have been travelling on the train at the time.

An ambulance spokesperson told Sky News that paramedics were on scene, assessing 11 patients.
At least one of those patients is believed to have suffered serious injuries.
Two rescue helicopters have also been dispatched to the scene.
The train departed Southern Cross Station in Melbourne around 1:21pm and was bound for Warrnambool.
