The Masters green jacket officially belongs to Patrick Reed after he secured the 2018 Masters championship at Augusta National.
The 27-year-old Texan started the final round three shots ahead, but a one-under par 71 was enough to earn a win, just one shot ahead of world No. 8 Rickie Fowler.
Mr Reed is the fourth straight first-time major winner at Augusta, and was struggling to find words in the Butler Cabin.

“It was always going to be tough, trying to close off (any) golf tournament is hard.
“To close off a major … it’s almost impossible to put into words.
“Just to make the putt on the last, to know I’ve won my first major, meant so much to me,” he said.

For the Aussies, Cameron Smith finished with nine under and tied for fifth, guaranteeing himself a start at next year’s Masters. Fellow Aussie Marc Leishman came in at ninth spot with eight under, and Adam Scott shared 32nd with five other players on one-over par.
