Nathan Coulter-Nile has been handed a spot in the Australian squad for the first Test against the West Indies in Hobart.
The West Australian right-armer and Victorian quick James Pattinson, who was 12th man for the third Test against New Zealand – were on Tuesday included in a 12-man squad for the clash that starts on December 10.
National selectors are expected to make one change to the XI, with Pattinson coming in for injured spearhead Mitchell Starc.

However, fellow paceman Scott Boland is on standby and will travel to Tasmania this weekend if any of the four pacemen are struggling for fitness.
Peter Siddle has a back niggle but Steve Smith indicated the Victorian veteran should play against the Windies.
There had been concerns about the workload of Josh Hazelwood since the first Test against New Zealand but he has been included in the squad.
Starc is out for the series after fracturing his right foot in the third test against the Kiwi’s.
The Australian medical team will reassess his injury in the coming days to see when he may be available to return.
