Other winners on Monday night included Olympic medal winning canoeist Jessica Fox who also defended her 2013 C-1 title this year at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, gaining her the title of Prime Minister’s Outstanding Woman In Sport.
Other winners included Emma Mckeon who won ‘One To Watch’ for her efforts in swimming and Catherine Cox who took home ‘Service to the Sport’ for her continued involvement in netball.
Editor for Woman’s Health Felicity Harley says the awards ceremony is an important initiative to highlight the efforts of women in sport.
“(The awards) play an important role in celebrating the successes of women in sport and are a key platform for bringing the
achievements of the country’s female sporting greats into the public eye,” she says.
