A person has suffered serious injuries after they were hit by a car on the Gold Coast.
Emergency services were called to a vehicle and pedestrian incident at the busy intersection of Christine Avenue and the Gold Coast Highway in Burleigh Heads.
It happened just after 4.30 pm yesterday, causing serious delays for the local traffic.

Paramedics assessed the pedestrian at the scene for chest injuries before they were taken to hospital for further treatment.
They’re now in a serious but stable condition at the Gold Coast University Hospital.
