Pedestrian hit and killed by car north of Brisbane

A pedestrian has been hit and killed by a car north of Brisbane.

The victim was walking east on Anzac Avenue in Kippa Ring when he was collected by a car at the intersection of Nathan Road at 1:00AM on Saturday morning.

A 37-year-old from Rothwell died at the scene.

The 33-year-old male driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
